Frankfurt, Germany: Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V. is honored to announce the official confirmation of Bob Manuel Udokwu, a distinguished and legendary award-winning veteran of Nollywood, for the 2026 Nollywood Film Festival Germany (NFFG) and Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA).
A globally recognized figure, Udokwu has earned numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Africa Movie Academy Awards. Most recently, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Enugu International Film Festival, further cementing his legacy as one of Africa’s most enduring screen legends.
Udokwu stands among a select group of actors who successfully transitioned across multiple eras of Nigerian entertainment—from the “Golden Age” of television with Checkmate, through the emergence of the home video era with “Living in Bondage” and breaking Free into today’s dynamic “New Nollywood.” While many contemporaries stepped away from the screen, he has maintained a consistent and influential presence for over three decades, even while serving in politics over the past 14 years.
His confirmed appearance marks a major highlight for this year’s festival, where he will be celebrated and honoured with the prestigious 24k NEGA Golden Award in Frankfurt, Germany.
