About Us
We are the organizers of the Nollywood Film Festival Germany (NFFG) winner of the AfroNews/Ortel Mobile 2021 “Best African Festival in Germany” Award. NFFG serves as a dynamic platform for Nollywood (African) filmmakers to showcase their works to European audiences and Nollywood enthusiasts across the Diaspora. The festival also functions as an educational tool, helping African children abroad learn about their cultural heritage through film.
The Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA Awards) is a prestigious Gala-Nite closing ceremony that celebrates excellence within the industry. Together, NFFG and NEGA form the biggest celebration of Nollywood in Germany, offering a unique double-feature festival experience. It’s an annual opportunity to connect, celebrate, and collaborate with Nollywood mega stars, stakeholders, and fans.
Since 2002, we have successfully organized NFFG, and since 2014, the NEGA Awards in Frankfurt, Germany, with the support of the Hessen State Ministry of Arts and Culture (Städt Frankfurt Kulturamt), the Embassy of Nigeria in Berlin, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Frankfurt, and the Nigeria Community Frankfurt Am Main e.V., among other partners.
