About NFFG & NEGA
Nollywood Film Festival Germany
Based in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany, NFFG is our flagship event designed to showcase the best of Nollywood cinema to European audiences. The festival provides a unique platform for filmmakers to present their work, connect with industry professionals, and reach new audiences.
Beyond entertainment, NFFG serves a crucial educational purpose. For African children and families living in the diaspora, our festival provides a vital connection to their cultural roots through the power of cinema. Each screening becomes a celebration of African storytelling, values, and heritage.
The festival takes place annually during the last week of July and first week of August, bringing together filmmakers, actors, industry professionals, and cinema enthusiasts for a celebration of African creativity and cultural expression.
Our Mission
To create a viable platform for Nollywood (Nigerian/African) filmmakers to showcase their movies to Europeans and Nollywood fans in the Diaspora, serving as an educational tool for learning African culture, especially for African children living abroad.

Nollywood Europe Golden Awards
NEGA serves as the grand closing ceremony of the Nollywood Film Festival Germany. These prestigious awards honour Nollywood stakeholders and exceptional talents in the performing arts, both across Africa and in the diaspora.
Our recognition extends beyond traditional entertainment categories. We celebrate the artistic excellence of politicians and business leaders whose actions in culture and tourism have significantly impacted the African continent and shaped the Nigerian film industry into what it is today..
