Diamond breaks silence after uproar over his new song “The One”
Chibu sets the record straight
WCB President Diamond Platnumz has defended his act of kicking out Namibian singer King TeeDee in his new song “The One”.
Speaking during an Interview on Wasafi FM, Diamond explained that he was the owner of the beat and has the right to drop the song as a solo project.
He added that his collaboration with King TeeDee still remains and they were planning to shoot the video.
Lakini hapo hapo nikahisi kufanya another version of the song kitu ambacho akikatazwi Kabisa. Na ni nyimbo ambayo mimi naipenda sana. So hata yeye (King Teedee) anajua kuwa nimefanya another version” said Diamond.
There was an uproar on social media after the Tetema hitmaker left out TeeDee especially by Namibian fans on grounds that he had stolen the song from the latter.

The song in question has been doing well on YouTube, with over 1 million views within 17 hours and 2 million views in two days.
On the other hand, King TeeDee acknowledged Diamond’s effort saying Chibu had made his original song better, insisting that great music came straight form the heart.
