The Man Behind NFFG and NEGA Awards – Isaac Izoya

izoya Mr. Isaac Izoya – Cultural Ambassador, the founder and currently the president of Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V, was once described by “The Voice” Holland based magazine, as “a man of all trades and master of all” in showbiz. He's an Ishan, Edo State born Nigerian German based actor, movies producer, showbiz pundit, script writer and Journalist. He was born in Edo State, Nigeria studied at the London school of journalism and worked for many years as the (Berlin) Bureau chief of the most popular magazine in mainland Germany, The African Courier magazine. He has since then taken various film courses and attended various film festivals as special panel guest and programs in film making and entertainment in general.
EHIZOYA GOLDEN ENTERTAINMENT E.V. The Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V, is a front-line not-for-profit culture advocacy organization, founded since 2003 in Berlin but relocated to Frankfurt am Main in 2013. The organization – has been using Nollywood in particular and entertainment in general as a medium to unearth the hidden artistic talents and promote Nigeria (African) cultural heritage across Europe:

We have taken over 100 a List stars of both Ghana and Nigeria Nollywood, comedians and Hip Hop stars exposing them across Europe believing that the exposure of artistes is veritable vehicle for influencing humanity, culture and the people’s mentality. Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V, has successfully used her Integration movies and shows in bringing Africans and their European friends and relatives together for an opportunity to feel merry. Ehizoya Golden has done this repeatedly since 2003 (with the backing of the Nigeria Embassy in Berlin, Germany) when the organization premiered her first movie titled “Sinners In The House” in Berlin which was Nollywood’s first movie ever produced in Germany. The integration Shows created, and continue to create, opportunities for Africans and Africa Germans as well as friends and relatives of Africa, who may not have been able to visit Africa for some time, to meet and mingle with Africans in an African social environment and to share memories of Africa and feel at home - far away from home - both in Germany and touring 18 cities in 9 Europe countries with stars annually.
Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V has been leveraging Nollywood movies as a means of Nigerian image laundry, promoting integration across Europe as a medium of resisting racism and modern days slavery tagged “Humans trafficking" by discouraging such interest among African youths and their families through demonstrative films that show to them that “all that glitters in Europe is certainly not gold” contrary to the general belief in Africa that Europe is heaven on earth. This Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V believes may contribute significantly to stem the tide among desperate African migrants who flock to Europe through illegitimate means at great risks.

This did not only pave way for a lot of artistes but has now engendered a film festival aptly called Nollywood Film Festival in Germany, NFFG,, a viable platform designed for Nollywood (Nigerian/African) film makers to showcase their movies to Europeans and Nollywood fans in the Diaspora – (a confirmed educational tools of learning African culture by African children in the Diaspora) and Nollywood Europe Golden Awards - NEGA, designed to honour Nollywood stakeholders, stars, comedians, musicians (both in Africa and in the Diaspora) which has also been expanded to recognize the artistic bias of outstanding diplomatic corps, politicians and businessmen and women both in Africa and beyond but whose actions in the area of culture and tourism sector, have directly or indirectly impacted upon Africans and other continent outside the scope of Africa countries and the Nigeria film industry in particular, thereby shaping what it has grown to become today”.
