Kenyan Women in Germany, Nollywood Festival, others win African Community Awards

KenyaNollywood Film Festival Germany, NFFG, was one of the big winners at the first AfroNews–Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards, which took place on Saturday in Frankfurt.
The NFFG, which has been holding regularly in Germany for more than 15 years, clinched the Best African Festival in Germany Award 2021.
Other big winners of the evening were Kenyan Women in Germany (KWIG) which clinched the Best African Association in Germany Award while Florence Oriwo, founder of Oriwo Design, took home the Best African Fashion Designer in Germany Award.

Isaac awardIsaac Izoya, festival director of Nollywood Film festival Germany, NFFG which just last night in Frankfurt won the best African festival in Germany says he is thankful to all whose votes made it win.
Speaking after the event, Izoya said "I feel happy. Words are not enough to explain how I feel tonight. It shows me that our humble contributions are being followed by many. It reinvigorates me to do much more in my chosen career. I thank the organizers – and Ortel Mobile, the event sponsors, members of Nollywood Practitioners Europe and back home in Nigeria, my numerous fans across the world that made this possible by voting for us massively. I feel great to be celebrated while alive – Kanayo O. Kanayo

Kanayo O. KanayoRenowned Nollywood actor, Anayo Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, says he feels so great to be celebrated by friends, fans and well-wishers, while alive.
Onyekwere, who on Oct. 16 received the 2020 Sun Newspaper Nollywood Icon award for his excellent role delivery and iconic status, said he felt honoured to be recognised by the newspaper.
He took to his Instagram page on Monday to share his feelings over the award and celebration that followed it.
He wrote: “It feels so great to be honoured and celebrated. Thanks for celebrating me when I am alive.

In a keenly contested online voting by all and sundry, NFFG beat African festival Stuttgart and African festival Tubingen to clinch the revered title at the well publicised event organised by top German media organisation and held last night (23rd October, 2021) in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany.

NFFG organised by Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V under the directorship of the Cultural Ambassador Isaac izoya clinched the award with 52% of votes followed by African festival Stuttgart and African festival Tubingen with 29% and 19% of votes respectively.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku is set to make his big screen debut in the new remake of comedy classic 'Aki Na Ukwa'.
The actor popular for his gangster roles and exciting accent was recently unveiled as the latest cast member to join the anticipated remake set for theatrical release on December 17, 2021.
Directed by 'Breaded Life' director Biodun Stephen, the Stephen Oluboyo created story follows two mischievous brothers who try to make a life for themselves then coincidentally fall into fame and riches they have always craved for through the help of social media. This welcomes them into a world of pleasures, pressures, lies, deceit and enmity.
