BIG BOOST FOR NOLLYWOOD FESTIVAL IN GERMANY 2022, NIGERIAN CONSUL THROWS IN WEIGHT.

Izoya and Amb WahabNollywood Film Festival Germany and its sister event Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NFFG/NEGA) got a very big boost yesterday – 7th January, 2022 when the organisers and patrons of Frankfurt based Ehizoya Golden Entertainment led by Isaac Izoya Cultzral Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the Consul General of Nigeria in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, His Excellency, Ambassador Wahab A. Akande.

The meeting was to intimate His Excellency, Amb Akande of the grand plans for the 2022 edition of the festival, the first edition after the COVID 19 strike themed; Unlocking all possibilities.

Family Confirms Death of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe

The family of Ms Peace Anyiam-Osigwe has confirmed her death in a statement issued on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

The founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) died on Monday at the St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos. Her demise caused confusion in the movie industry as there were conflicting reports about her health status.

But today, the family confirmed that the veteran filmmaker and critical stakeholder in Nollywood has passed on, promising to continue to uphold her legacies, especially AMAA.

Kenyan Women in Germany, Nollywood Festival, others win African Community Awards

KenyaNollywood Film Festival Germany, NFFG, was one of the big winners at the first AfroNews–Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards, which took place on Saturday in Frankfurt.
The NFFG, which has been holding regularly in Germany for more than 15 years, clinched the Best African Festival in Germany Award 2021.
Other big winners of the evening were Kenyan Women in Germany (KWIG) which clinched the Best African Association in Germany Award while Florence Oriwo, founder of Oriwo Design, took home the Best African Fashion Designer in Germany Award.
