ABOUT EHIZOYA GOLDEN ENTERTAINMENT E.V
We are the organizers of Nollywood Film Festival Germany – NFFG, a viable platform designed for Nollywood (Nigerian/African) film makers to showcase their movies to Europeans and Nollywood fans in the Diaspora – (a confirmed educational tools of learning African culture by African children in the Diaspora) and Nollywood Europe Golden Awards - NEGA Awards, which comes up as a closing ceremony of NFFG event in every second week of September since 2012.
NEGA Awards - is designed to honour Nollywood stakeholders, stars, comedians, musicians (both in Africa and in the Diaspora) which has also been expanded to recognize the artistic bias of outstanding politicians and business men and women both in Africa and beyond but whose actions in the area of culture and tourism sector, have directly or indirectly impacted upon Africans and other continent outside the scope of Africa countries and the Nigeria film industry in particular, thereby shaping what it has grown to become today
We have been organizing these events since 2012 in Germany in alliance with Hessen State Ministry of Arts and Culture – (Städt Frankfurt Kulturamt), The Ministry of Multicultural Affairs (Amt für multikulturelle Angelegenheiten - AMKA), Nigeria Embassy – Berlin, Germany, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria - Frankfurt, Germany and of course, the Nigeria Community Frankfurt Am Main e.V among others.
Over a decade ago, we have continually exposed Nigeria's culture as illuminated in our Nollywood film productions all over Europe. We have taken over 100 A-List stars of Nollywood, comedians and Hip Hop stars exposing them across Europe. (Some of the artistes who have benefited from such tours include prominent Nollywood icons, namely: Patience Ozokwor a.k.a Mama G, Ramsey Nouah, Mercy Johnson, Benedict Johnson, Charles Inojie, Ngozi Ezeonu, Empress Njamah, Nkeiruka Sylvanus, Jim Iyke, Desmond Elliot, Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme a.k.a Aki and PawPaw, John Okafor (a.k.a. Mr Ibu), Victor Osuagwu (a.k.a. One Dollar) Timaya, Olu Maintain aka Yahoozee, NigaRaw, J. Martins, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basket Mouth, Ghanian top star Jacky Appiah; Francis Duru, Kiss Daniel & Co, Julius Agwu, Francis Agoda a.k.a I Go Dye, Ogbolosingha, Sheddi Baba, Maleke and Gordon to mention only but a few. A record that remained unbroken by any Africans entertainer in EU Nations till date).
It’s on these reasons that German government is now delighted to partner with us on the NFFG & NEGA events believing that this enviable platform will foster and connect significantly the rich culture of the two nations.
Believing that the exposure of artistes is veritable vehicle for influencing humanity, culture and the people’s mentality, Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V, based in Germany, has successfully used her Integration movies and Shows in bringing Africans and their European friends and relatives together for an opportunity to meet and mingle in an African social environment and to share memories of Africa and feel at home - far away from home - both in Germany and across Europe countries - annually
EhizoyaGolden Entertainment e.V has done this repeatedly since 2003 when the organization premiered her first movie titled “Sinners In The House” in Berlin. That was Nollywood’s first movie ever produced in Germany.
Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V has been leveraging Nollywood movies as a means of promoting integration in Europe and as a medium of resisting modern days slavery tagged “Humans trafficking” by discouraging the interest among African youths and their families through demonstrative films that show to them that “all that glitters in Europe among immigrants is not gold” contrary to the general belief in Africa that Europe is heaven on earth. This, Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V believes may contribute significantly to stem the tide among desperate African migrants who flock to Europe through illegitimate means at great risks.
Nothing is too small or too big: Your contributions will help us accomplished our mission –
